Returns & Refunds Policy

1. Who we are and your return rights

This Returns & Refunds Policy applies to all purchases made from Aanchal Fashions. It sets out your rights under UK consumer law as well as our own voluntary return policy.

You have three distinct sets of rights, which are explained separately below:

  • 14-day statutory cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
  • 30-day return window – our own voluntary policy, which goes beyond the statutory minimum
  • Faulty or not-as-described goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015

2. Your 14-day statutory cooling-off period (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

For orders placed online, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods, for any reason. To exercise this right, contact us at hello@aanchalfashions.co.uk within 14 days of receipt. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods. Where you cancel within this period, we will refund the full price of the goods and the standard outbound delivery cost. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us, unless the goods are faulty or not as described.

3. Our 30-day return window (our voluntary policy)

In addition to your statutory rights, we offer a 30-day return window from the date you receive your order. If you change your mind, you may return unworn items in their original condition within 30 days for a refund of the item price. For returns made after the 14-day statutory period but within our 30-day window, the original outbound delivery cost is not refunded.

4. Faulty or not-as-described goods (Consumer Rights Act 2015)

If an item is faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described, you have the right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to:

  • Reject the item and receive a full refund within 30 days of receipt
  • Request a repair or replacement within the first six months
  • Receive a refund if a repair or replacement is not possible

For faulty or not-as-described goods, we cover the cost of return postage.

5. How to start a return

Email us at hello@aanchalfashions.co.uk with your order number and the reason for your return. We will respond within one working day with return instructions.

6. Condition of returned items

For change-of-mind returns, items must be unworn, unwashed, with original tags attached and in their original packaging where possible. This does not affect your rights in respect of faulty goods.

7. Return postage costs

  • Change of mind: you pay the return postage
  • Faulty or not as described: we refund your return postage (please keep your receipt)
  • Wrong item sent by us: we provide a prepaid return label

8. Refund processing

Refunds are made to your original payment method. We process refunds within 14 days of receiving the returned item, or within 14 days of you providing evidence that you have returned it, whichever is sooner.

9. Returns that arrive damaged or not in resalable condition

If a change-of-mind return reaches us worn, washed, or not in resalable condition, we may make a fair deduction from your refund or, where appropriate, return the item to you. We will always explain our reasons and provide photographs where relevant.

10. Items excluded from change-of-mind returns

For hygiene reasons, certain items such as underwear and pierced jewellery cannot be returned once unsealed or worn, except where they are faulty. Your statutory rights in respect of faulty goods are not affected.

11. Sale items

Sale items are subject to the same return rights as full-price items, unless an item is clearly marked as final sale at the time of purchase.

13. Complaints and dispute resolution

If you are unhappy with a return or refund, please contact us first at hello@aanchalfashions.co.uk so we can try to resolve the matter. You may also have the right to use an alternative dispute resolution scheme or the online dispute resolution process.
